THE DAILY DOSE is a daily video and audio podcast founded by Joshua Haymes, featuring theological, political, and cultural content for Christians with a spine—Christians who believe in the Lordship of Christ, and want His Kingdom to be unapologetically proclaimed throughout America and the world.

The mission of this podcast is to provide Christians with theological, spiritual, and political content that gives them the courage, knowledge, and inspiration to rebuild Christendom across the United States of America and the rest of the world, one family at a time.

The target demographic is young, churchgoing Christian men between 25 and 45, so we worked with The Daily Dose and Joshua to craft a brand identity that felt distinctly masculine, honest, and classy, all at the same time.

The Logo Suite

The logo suite is the face of the brand identity, so with that in mind, we carefully crafted one that conveyed both strength and honesty. It also needed to feel new and relevant and old and rooted in truth—all at the same time.

The strong typeface we used in the Vertical Logo brings together the "old" and "new" ethos gracefully; when combined with a minimalist brandmark which is simple and easy-to-use in a variety of modern applications, the result is a logo that feels old, new, honest, masculine, trustworthy, and newsworthy, all at the same time.

The Project

Color Palette & Typography

We carefully crafted a color palette that positions the Daily Dose as strong, trustworthy, masculine, and classy. Alabaster works excellently for contrast. Lionsmane feels regal and classy. Midnight provides contrast and feels trustworthy and true. Dominion feels bold and fearless, while Ironwood feels strong and firm.

The fonts we selected convey strength and newsworthiness. Storica feels classical and new at the same time. Martel Sans acts as an excellent secondary font because of its readability and the fact that it is a sans-serif, offering harmonious contrast with Storica.

Closing Thoughts

Collaborating with the Daily Dose went like this: at the beginning, we had a so-so look and feel that needed a lot of help and inspired no one. By the end, we'd crafted a compelling brand identity that felt up-to-date and rooted and grounded in the truth of God's Word, all at the same time.

More importantly, this brand identity positions the Daily Dose as an authoritative voice in its niche, building trust with its specific target audience, and inspiring them to rebuild the ruins of Christendom, one man and one family at a time. ✦
